This journey starts and ends in the coastal hubs, but its heart lies in the diverse landscapes between them. You’ll transition from the relaxed sea air of Essaouira to the high-altitude views of the Atlas Mountains, before descending into the golden dunes of Merzouga. The second half of the trip focuses on history and culture, moving through the medieval streets of Fes and the famous blue alleys of Chefchaouen, finishing with the modern architectural wonders of Rabat and Casablanca.
Upon arrival, we will pick you up and drive you to Essaouira, the drive will take around 3 hours.
Today you will have a free day to walk around the city of Essaouira. You can go to squala, the port and fish market. Also, you can have a walk along the beach. Overnight stay in a hotel.
Today we will drive back to Marrakech. If you are interested in visiting the Majorelle Garden and SYL Museum you buy the tickets in advance and online, you should book them for the afternoon time. If you have other places you want to visit outside the medina we can drive you there.Overnight stay in a hotel.
After breakfast at the riad , you can start exploring Marrakech,the red city of Morocco ” ,also one of the imperial cities . Your guide will ensure that you see the most important places of historical and cultural interest, including the Saadian tombs; the Bahia Palace and the Ben Youssef Coranique school. Today, you will also walk the souks and enjoy the fascinating colours and the wonderful smells. Lunch at a restaurant near the square, then after lunch you will visit the Koutoubia Tower. In the Afternoon you will have free time to walk around the souks yourselves.Ovenight stay in a hotel/riad.
After breakfast in your riad, you will start traveling to Ouarzazate and the Dades Valley via the Tichka Pass and over the High Atlas Mountains. Today you will enjoy traveling through the dramatic road of the pass and the fascinating views over the Berber villages and the amazing landscape changing as the day progresses. Your first stop will be at the Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, the largest Kasbah in Morocco. Built by the last Berber chieftain El Glaoui Et-Hami in the late 17th century, it is now a UNESCO matrimonial historical site, which today still houses many Glaoui family members. Lunch by the Kasbah and continue to Ouarzazate, “the Hollywood of Africa ”.
After lunch, travel to the Dades Gorge through the road of “the Thousand Kasbahs”, which offers many fine photo opportunities of nature and people. We’ll get to Kalaat Mgouna – famous for roses and its annual festival during the roses harvest in May – visit the Berber Souk of Kalaat Mgouna, then continue to Bouthaghrar along the Rose valley. On to the Dades Valley where you will enjoy seeing the amazing rock formation famous as “the monkey toes”.
After breakfast in the hotel, you will start traveling to Merzouga via the Todra Gorge , the small towns of Erfoud and Rissani. In Todra valley you will enjoy the panoramic views of the old mud Berber villages overlooking the valley. At Todra Gorge, You will have the opportunity to walk under the 300m high red cliff, popular with many rock-climbers. Here you will have time for an hour’s walking within the valley.
Afterwards, you will have lunch before we continue our trip to Erfoud and Rissani ; Then, we leave for the village of Merzouga – After a welcoming glass of mint tea, you will start your journey on the camels to the desert camp where you will have an overnight stay.
Early in the morning we will wake you up to watch what may be the best sunrise of your life. You’ll peacefully camel-trek back to the village of Merzouga if you want to , if not then you will go in a 4*4. Over the dunes, you couldn’t fail to appreciate the unique beauty of the spectacular Erg Chebbi sand dunes – changing the light as the day progresses.
We will drive the same road used in the famous Paris-Dakar Rally, reaching the old mines, visiting the tribe of gnaoua and enjoy their special music and have a Berber pizza for lunch with my family. Later on the day we will drive back to the camp for overnight stay.
Today after breakfast you will start travelling to Fes via the Ziz Valley and Azrou. You will enjoy the fascinating landscape along the magnificent Ziz Gorges carved through volcanic rock, and through the Tizi n’Talghamt Pass to Midelt. we will stop for lunch when you feel like it . You will stop at the Cedar Forest, on the Middle Atlas Mountains where you will see the Barbarian apes in the wild. Get to Fes at the end of the day and check in to your riad.
We will pick you up from your riad and drive to the old Jewish quarter and the Royal palace gate yard, where you will learn about the Jewish history in Morocco. Your visit includes the tile art factory and then a wonderful panoramic view over the whole Medina of Fes. After we finished visiting outside of the Medina, you will be dropped off in the Medina to visit the famous old Tanneries , and then the Karaouine Mosque and University , the Attarin Medersa and the Najjarin Fountain.After you are done we can take you back to your hotel to relax.
Breakfast at the hotel/riad is followed by a full day tour. In the morning you will be driven to Meknes, an imperial city that has existed since the first rulers of the Alawite dynasty that governed Morocco. There you’ll see the grandiose gateway of Babb el-Mansur, the Sahrij Souani Basin and The sumptuously decorated Moulay Ismail Mausoleum. After lunch, your journey continues on to Volubilis, This is Morocco’s most famous Roman remnant dating in AD 24-285.Then we’ll go to Moulay Idriss, A city is built upon the rocky spurs of the Khyber and Tazga hills, with the buildings tumbling down the slopes dramatically. For the faithful, this is an important pilgrimage center and an annual religious festival in August At the end of this exciting day you will be driven via Rif Mountains to Chefchaouen the blue city for the night in our Hotel/Riad.
Today you will have a guided day in Chefchaouen to enjoy the beauty of its colorful streets. Late in the afternoon you walk to Bouzafer mosque for sunset and to enjoy the view overlooking the blue city.
After breakfast we will start our way towards Tetouan by stopping in Akchour which has a very unique nature park. In Akchour you will have a walk into the valley to see the small waterfalls. After lunch we will dive to Tetouan where you will get to visit the Maouasine square and Iglesia
de Bacturia. This bright yellow Roman Catholic church looking out on Place Moulay El Mehdi was built in 1917 and is still active. Late on the day we will continue driving to Tangier for an overnight stay.
Our day will start after breakfast by exploring the old medina of Tangier, cap spartel and hercules cave.The cave has two openings, one to the sea and one to land. The sea opening is known as “The Map of Africa.” It is believed that the Phoenicians created the sea opening, which is in the shape of Africa when looked at from the sea. Afterwards we will leave for Asilah, which is a 15th century town that was built by the Colonial Portuguese. Late in the afternoon we will drive to Rabat. overnight stay in a hotel/riad .
After breakfast in your accommodation we will start our journey exploring Rabat and its historical sites. We start with the Hassan Tower built in the 12th-century .Then the Oudayas Kasbah, the 11th-century fortress built in Andalusian-style, gives fine views over Salé and the Atlantic Ocean. After lunch you will have the option if you want to visit another historical site which is The Chellah or Shalla, is a medieval fortified Muslim necropolis and ancient archeological site in Rabat, Morocco, located on the south side of the Bou Regreg estuary. The earliest evidence of the site’s occupation suggests that the Phoenicians established a trading emporium here in the first millennium BC. After exploring Rabat we will drive to Casablanca for overnight stay in a hotel.
Today you will get to explore Casablanca starting with Hassan II mosque, the largest mosque in Africa,it is the second biggest mosque in all Africa and the 7th biggest all over the world. The mosque is one of few open mosques for non-muslims to visit, especially its location, right on the tip of the rocky bay above the ocean. This is one of the great achievements of morocco architecture ,then to Place Mohammed V where the must old government buildings Before. Visit Morocco mall also is the biggest mall in Africa and take you to the cornish for a walk. Later on the day we will drive you to the airport.
