    7 Days From Tangier To Morocco North Via Chefchaoeun

    Day 01 : Tangier – Asilah

    Our 7 days from Tangier will start by meeting you in the  airport of Tangier. Asilah road we visited the lighthouse and remember Spartel Greek mythology in the caves of Hercules count will have lunch in some of the bars in the area and enjoy their beaches. Asilah did continue on the road to the coast, arrival and reception at the hotel.

    Day 02 : Asilah – Larache 

    After breakfast free time to take one last stroll through the medina and the beach in Asilah, before leaving the nearby road to Larache, at the mouth of the river Lucus, a city with a very Spanish, as evidenced by the Store castle, fortification overlooking the bay, built by Spanish seventeenth century. We also find the Spanish imprint everywhere, from the Place de la Liberation, known as the Plaza of Spain, to restaurant menus. Afternoon visit to the ruins of the Roman acropolis Lucus, founded by the Phoenicians around 1100 BC, possibly as a first point of commerce in North Africa. Dinner and overnight at hotel.


    Day 03 : Larache – Chaouen

    Morning after breakfast we dirgiremosa Chaouen, but first making a small detour to see the Cromlech of Msoura with its 167 menhirs, one of the oldest human remains in the area.     Day 04 : Chaouen – Chaouen

    After breakfast, free day with the possibility of guided tour of the city. Chefchaouen, seated at the foot of Jbel Tissouka, offers visitors a fascinating journey through a maze of narrow streets, we entered it Bab al-Suiqa Harmum in the neighborhood, the oldest of the city with its artisans and merchants. We got to the Hamman Uta plaza housing the source, the Mosque, the Citadel with the local museum, the Funduq and numerous terraces of cafes where tourists and Rif are mixed in a relaxed atmosphere.

    We entered the Andalusian quarter, built to host the second wave of Moors after 1492, climbing its steep streets and whitewashed we reach the limit of the fortified enclosure, Bab al-Ansar, beyond the Spring “Ras al-Ma” that takes water sources of the medina and allows the operation of public utility and the mill on the left, and go round to reach a bridge where just enchanting journey. Also enjoy the original and superb craftsmanship in leather and other products that make the artisans of the city. Dinner and overnight at hotel.


    Day 05 : Chaouen – Tetuan

    We arrived at Tetuan, lunch at the Medina entering through Bab el-Rouah near the royal palace, up the street Al-Mokaden, area businesses and artisans arrived at the Zawiya Sidi Ali Barka, above Bab el-Mqbar takes step to Andalusian Cemetery where stands the mausoleum of Sidi al-Mandri Granada who rebuilt the city in the fifteenth century. We started making our way out of Bab el-Oqla, dinner and overnight.


    Day 06 : Tetuan – Tangier

    Morning free time to visit the archaeological museum, the Museum of Popular Arts and the School of arts and crafts. Lunch and transfer to Tangier, shipping in mid-afternoon. Arrival at Tangier where we started the visit just outside the port, up the “beach road” where we found a most precious buildings from the colonial era, the “Teatro Cervantes” in a lamentable state of neglect.

    Then we come to the market of small souk and square the great souk, the nerve center of the city that gives entrance to the medina with its streets lined with artisans, bazaars, cafes and street stalls walked up to the Kasbah, some noble and top of the medina where you can sample traditional cuisine enjoying beautiful views of the Straits to Tangier and its bay.

    Way of the Café Hafa where we take tea with mint reminding Bowles and others, visited the Phoenician necropolis and in the evening, dinner and overnight stay.


    Day 07 : Tangier – Tangier

    Breakfast and transfer to the port or airport as departure time, here our 7 days from Tangier ends.
