Go on a grand 7-day expedition starting in the coastal metropolis of Casablanca and winding through the heart of Morocco. This tour offers a deep dive into the country’s diverse soul—from the medieval alleyways of Fes and the Roman-influenced history of Meknes to the golden dunes of the Sahara. You will traverse the Middle and High Atlas Mountains, sleep under the stars in a desert camp, and finish your journey in the vibrant, red-walled city of Marrakech.
Departure from Casablanca to explore the main sites of Casablanca, then we drive to Rabat, capital. We explore the main attractions and monuments, then we head to Meknes and Fes where we spend the night in a local hotel.
We walk in the alleys of Fez, we will visit the Jewish quarter and other cultural and historical sites, including Al Qaraouine University, Tanneries and the mausoleum of Moulay Idriss. We spend the night at the local riad.
Departure to Ifrane and Azrou stopping at the cedar forest to see the monkeys. We continue towards Midelt and the Ziz valley with a stop at Erfoud, Rissani and finally we arrive at Merzouga. We will go on camel backs to the desert camp, guided by an experienced camel guide in the middle of Erg Chebbi. The desert trek takes about 45 minutes to reach the camp. Then we enjoy the sunset over the dunes and our dinner will be served near the campfire. We will spend this night in deserted tents in the desert.
Wake up early to enjoy the desert sunrise in the Merzouga Desert, then return to the village by camel. After breakfast and shower we head to Rissani, then Tinghir Gorge and Todra. It is the highest and narrowest gorge in Morocco. After lunch in the gorge, we will cross the Dades Valley enjoying the rock formations of the monkeys. We spend the night in the Dades Valley with dinner and breakfast.
Departure to Kalaat Mgouna and Ouarzazate. Here we can visit the local movie studio and the kasbah. Then direction Ait Ben Haddou, visit the local kasbah, the largest kasbah of Morocco and UNESCO historical site. We continue on the mountains of the High Atlas to Marrakech and we stay here in the medina in a traditional riad.
After breakfast we will explore Marrakech. We will visit the most important sites. The guided tour of Marrakech includes a visit to the Majorelle Gardens, the Koutoubia Tower, the Saadian Tombs and the Bahia Palace. In the afternoon we will have a free program. We spend this night in the traditional riad of the medina.
