TREKKING ATLAS 2 DAYS :

Trekking Atlas begins on the highest point of the massif, on Toubkal Mountain culminating at an altitude of 4167 m in the Moroccan High Atlas. Relief drops gradually to the east.

DAY 1: MARRAKECH – IMLIL (1700) – NETLER HUT (3200 M)

We leave Marrakech to Imlil at 70 km of paved road of Marrakech. Meeting with the muleteers, baggage loading and beginning of hiking. We pass next to the village of Aremd (1900 m) 15 minutes of Imlil. We continue towards Sidi Shamharoush, wonderful Berber villages.cultures on the terrace, irrigation canals… Picnic lunch. Night in the Neltner refuge.

DAY 2: REFUGE OF TOUBKAL – ASCENT OF TOUBKAL (4167 M) – IMLIL – MARRAKECH.

The ascent of the highest peak of Morocco is done without any major difficulty. A stony path goes near the shelter, then it gets more narrow, crowded Valley big blocks. The final way is wide and goes down gradually to approach the Summit plunging yet in great cliffs on Ifni Lake on opposite side. Picnic lunch along the way. A nice descent takes us from arid mountain to the irrigated valleys that pass by Sidi Chamharoush to the beautiful cultivated replat of Aremd. End of the trekking in Imlil where our minibus leads us in a short time on Marrakech; along the way a few displays of minerals of the presahariens massifs (Amethyst, Galena, gypsum…) waiting for the barge.

IMLIL ET MASSIF DE TOUBKAL:

The charming little mountain village of Imlil is the crossing point to all the hikers who wish to reach the 4167 m high (Toubkal), the 22 highest mountain in Africa after Kilimanjaro. Located 64 Km from Marrakech, Imlil is also a gateway to the great of the Toubkal National Park… The magical site of Imlil is the starting point for many hikes, it’s a wonderful place for those who would walk in the Massif of the Toubkal. The highest peak in North Africa. Imlil and Toubkal Massif Imlil is a small beautiful village known by its miraculous beauty and landscapes and original no-limit the admiration of visitors, and by a Valley tale. You will absolutely enjoy the various ups and downs of the mountains bordering the entrance of the Moroccan Atlas. Between astonishment and wonder, you can make a jump to Asni. You will discover the charm of imlil where the climate is temperate and the natural landscape and wonderful. In Imlil you will do a small hike of 1 H 30 and admire the beautiful landscapes and Berber villages. Finally, you will return to the path of return in the afternoon, leaving behind an image loaded swith so many memories that you will keep forever. After crossing the gorges of Asni, picturesque village known for its weekly souk on Saturday, the road goes on along a verdant Valley where the mountains, impressive natural strongholds, play with colors… mid-slope villages of Berbers to nesteled tp Earth houses surrounded by terracing. Each village is nestled against the foothills of the Atlas, and built in tiers. Succession of varied landscapes and lush vegetation. A ride by mule to the village of Aremd is scheduled to admire the scenic view of the Valley of Imlil and the Toubkal. The American ‘Seven years in Tibet’ film was shot in this region.

TREKKING ATLAS MASSIF 3 DAYS / 2NIGHTS :

Trekking of Atlas solid starts on the highest point of the massif at the Toubkal culminating at an altitude of 4167 m in the Moroccan High Atlas. The relief subsides gradually towards the East.

DAY 1: MARRAKECH – IMLIL (1700 M)-REFUGE NELTNER(3207M)

The departure of massive Atlas Trekking is leaving Marrakech to Imlil (1700 m) 70 km of paved road of Marrakech. Meeting with the muleteers, baggage loading and beginning of hiking. We pass next to the village of Aremd (1900 m) 15 minutes of Imlil. We continue towards Sidi Shamharoush. Current picnic lunch.

DAY 2: CLIMB TOUBKAL (4167) :

The ascent of the highest peak of the Maghreb is done without major difficulty. A stony path goes near the camp, then in a more narrow way, crowded Valley big blocks. The final way is wide and goes down gradually to approach the Summit plunging yet in great cliffs on Ifni Lake to the opposite side. Night in the Toubkal refuge.

DAY 3 : GLAMPING NELTNER – AREMD (1900 M) – IMLIL – MARRAKECH :

To complete the massive atlas Trekking, we are taking a nice descent takes us from the arid mountain to the irrigated valleys that pass by Sidi Chamharoush to beautiful cultivated replat of Aremd (1900 m). End of the trekking in Imlil (1700 m) where our minibus drives us in a short time to Marrakech. along the way a few pauses to take pictures.

TREKKING TOBKAL A DAY :

We start the Trekking Tobkal by the visit of the village of Imlil. That is just below the mountain of Jbel Toubkal, the highest mountain in North Africa 4165 m. Thanks to its ideal position, Imlil became a mountain tourism Center and a starting point for the major hiking to the peaks of the High Atlas including Toubkal. If you are interested in making a hike toward Toubkal Mountain, there is the possibility to include a 2-days hike in your itinerary with our company to climb to the top. For a day at Imlil we offer a hike of a few hours on site with a local mountain guide who will accompany you to do trekking and enjoy the sights of the motagnes around Imlil..
